JOB POSTING: HIGH SCHOOL CHEER COACH — WINTER SEASON 

Position Overview 

Collegiate Charter School of Lowell (CCSL) is seeking an enthusiastic, organized, and experienced Head Cheer Coach to lead our winter competitive cheerleading program. CCSL is proud to compete as a member of the MIAA, and we are looking for a coach who will build a positive, disciplined, and skill-focused program for our student-athletes. 

Schedule & Practice Preference 

• Season: Winter (aligned with MIAA winter season start/end dates) 

• Preferred practice time: Mornings (before the school day) — candidates who can commit to a consistent morning practice schedule are strongly preferred 

• Competitions: Weekend meets/competitions as scheduled by the MIAA and league 

Compensation 

Stipend: $4,500–$6,500, commensurate with experience and certifications. 

Responsibilities 

• Plan and lead morning practices, building age-appropriate stunting, tumbling, and routine choreography 

• Prioritize athlete safety, including proper spotting technique and injury-prevention protocols 

• Prepare the squad for MIAA/league competitions and manage meet-day logistics 

• Maintain open communication with student-athletes, families, and the Athletic Director 

• Ensure compliance with all MIAA eligibility, safety, and conduct rules 

• Foster a positive, inclusive, and team-first culture 

Qualifications 

• Prior coaching or competitive cheer experience required; high school or collegiate cheer coaching experience preferred 

• Current (or willingness to obtain) CPR/First Aid certification and any MIAA/state-required coaching certifications 

• Strong communication and organizational skills 

• Ability to commit to morning practice hours and weekend competition dates 

• Background check required per school and state requirements
